MAP is a platform to objectively assess the performance of leadership teams, and to develop those teams in a tailored way to support high performance, scale-up or eliminating toxicity.

What is MAP

MAP objectively measures the human performance of leadership teams and provides insight for growth and development.

Objective

MAP applies data science through a combination of self-assessment (validated with revealed preference) and gaming to assess areas of development that are critical to successful entrepreneurial leadership – mindset, grit versus risk-appetite, and psychological safety.

Built for Business

Venture capitalists invest as much in the leadership teams of companies as the purpose of the venture itself, yet, unlike the rigour surrounding product, market and financial assessments, much of the leadership imperative is left to gut-feel assessments and broad categorisations. MAP addresses that weakness.

Empirically Sound

The measurement and development approach is grounded in a rich pool of existing empirical research, building on work by academic leaders such as Carol Dweck, Angela Duckworth, and Amy Edmondson, and seeks to add to global research on human performance through its unique application.

Why MAP Makes Sense

If you can’t measure it, you can’t improve it. – Peter Drucker

Not the 'soft' stuff

Boards are traditionally stood up with those well-versed in interpreting management reports to comprehensively understand performance and risk exposure, however, there are very few tools that provide objective visibility of culture, team and leadership performance in terms of empirical predictors of success, that would allow a board or executive team to make objective decisions.

Avoid toxicity

We believe culture, team and leadership performance, in many ways, matter more to the long term success, and are increasingly catching organisations out in terms of reputation and behavioural expectations. MAP allows boards and leadership teams to evaluate the leadership potential of teams and provides early warnings for toxic leadership characteristics.

MAP systemises the measurement, tracking and prediction of team performance. This enables investors, boards and senior executives to measure leadership capability and ultimately to create the conditions for high organisational performance.

How MAP works

We take care of the hard work - MAP is an online (remote) platform - just provide us with a team and about an hour of their time to get things started.

Base Research

Your team members will be asked to spend about 20 minutes completing a couple of surveys for us to baseline in the group stage. This will build a base profile of your team to allow a more tailored evaluation.

Team Game

We'll get your team on a video conference and take them through a series of single and multiplayer decision games. This stage is fun, engaging and occasionally challenging.

Review & Follow-up

We'll produce a results pack to allow you to see where your team is at on its path to high-performance and propose steps to ensure the best results from the team.

We'll measure these features regularly over an agreed period of time to check on progress.
